Privacy policy

LooLon provides a virtual try-on for eyewear stores ("merchants"). This policy explains what data the LooLon app and tryon.loolon.com process.

Shoppers using the try-on

• The try-on runs entirely in the shopper's browser. Camera images and photos never leave the device; they are not uploaded, stored or seen by LooLon or the merchant.
• Measurements such as the size check, pupil distance (PD) and face shape are calculated on the device and are not stored by LooLon. A shopper can copy their PD for their own use.
• We count anonymous usage events per store (for example "try-on opened", "photo taken", "added to cart") to show merchants statistics. These counts contain no names, emails, IP addresses or other personal data.
• LooLon does not use cookies or tracking for advertising.

Merchants

• When a merchant installs the app we store the shop domain, the product data needed for the try-on (titles, product types, product images, variant colours, frame measurements), the try-on frames we create, the app settings and an access token to read products.
• Support messages and an optional notification email address are stored to answer requests.
• Billing is handled by Shopify; we do not receive card details.

Processing and storage

Data is stored on servers in the European Union. Product photos are processed on GPU servers to create the try-on frames and are not kept there after processing.

Deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the app, access is removed immediately and all of the store's data is deleted within 48 hours after Shopify's shop-redact request. Shopify customer-data requests are answered automatically: LooLon holds no customer data.

You can ask for access to or deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@loolon.com.
